Carrywell Life Terms of Service

Last updated: August 29, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your purchase and use of Carrywell Life (“Carrywell,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By purchasing, accessing, installing, copying, or using Carrywell Life, you agree to these Terms.

About Carrywell Life

Carrywell Life is a digital planning system built for use with Google Sheets and, for optional features, Google Calendar.

Carrywell may include features for managing:

  • Tasks
  • Projects
  • Events and appointments
  • Meal planning
  • Notes and ideas
  • Completion history
  • Calendar synchronization
  • Updates and migration between Carrywell versions
  • Other planning and organizational features

Carrywell requires a compatible Google account and access to supported Google services.

Your Google Account

You are responsible for maintaining access to and security of your own Google account.

Carrywell does not control Google accounts, Google Sheets, Google Calendar, Google Apps Script, or other Google services.

Your use of Google services is also subject to Google's applicable terms, policies, service availability, and technical limitations.

Carrywell does not receive or store your Google account password.

Google Permissions

Certain features require you to authorize Carrywell to access specific Google services.

These permissions may include access necessary to:

  • Operate within your Carrywell workbook
  • Read a previous Carrywell workbook when you request an upgrade
  • Create and manage a Carrywell-created Google Calendar
  • Synchronize Carrywell events
  • Run Carrywell automation and triggers

You may choose not to authorize optional features, but those features may not function without the required permission.

You may revoke Carrywell's Google permissions through your Google Account settings.

For more information about how Carrywell handles Google user data, please review the Carrywell Life Privacy Policy.

Calendar Connection

Connecting Carrywell to Google Calendar is optional.

If you choose to connect Calendar, Carrywell may create a separate Google Calendar specifically for Carrywell events.

Changes you make within Carrywell may create, update, or remove corresponding events from the Carrywell-created Calendar.

You are responsible for reviewing important dates and appointments and confirming that your Calendar information is accurate.

Carrywell should not be relied upon as the sole record for critical medical, legal, financial, travel, safety, or other time-sensitive obligations.

Upgrading From a Previous Version

Carrywell may provide an Upgrade from Previous Version feature.

When you use this feature, Carrywell may read supported information from a previous Carrywell workbook and transfer that information into a newer Carrywell workbook.

The upgrade feature is designed to preserve supported user-entered information while leaving the previous workbook unchanged.

Not every system setting, formula, script, layout element, or feature from an older version is necessarily transferred.

You are responsible for keeping your previous workbook until you have confirmed that your upgraded Carrywell contains the information you wish to retain.

License

Your purchase grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Carrywell Life for your own personal or household use, unless a different license is expressly provided at the time of purchase.

You may make reasonable copies of your purchased Carrywell workbook for your own use.

You may not:

  • Resell Carrywell
  • Redistribute Carrywell files or templates
  • Share purchased access with others outside the permitted license
  • Publish Carrywell files for others to download
  • Repackage Carrywell as your own product
  • Sell modified versions of Carrywell
  • Copy, extract, or distribute Carrywell code, formulas, scripts, or system components for use in another commercial product
  • Circumvent technical or access controls intended to protect Carrywell

All rights not expressly granted remain reserved.

Updates and Changes

Carrywell may be updated over time to:

  • Add features
  • Improve usability
  • Fix bugs
  • Maintain compatibility with Google services
  • Improve security
  • Change or remove features that are no longer practical or supported

We may release new versions of Carrywell that require users to upgrade to a newer workbook or reconnect certain Google features.

We cannot guarantee that every existing feature will remain unchanged indefinitely.

Google Service Changes

Carrywell relies on services provided by Google.

Google may change APIs, permissions, security requirements, quotas, interfaces, Apps Script behavior, Google Sheets functionality, Google Calendar functionality, or other services Carrywell depends upon.

We may need to modify Carrywell in response to those changes.

We are not responsible for interruptions or limitations caused by changes, outages, account restrictions, or service decisions made by Google or another third-party provider.

User Data and Backups

You are responsible for maintaining access to your Google account and for keeping copies of information that is important to you.

Although Carrywell is designed to preserve user-entered information during normal use and supported upgrades, no digital system can guarantee against every possible loss, corruption, accidental deletion, account issue, or third-party service failure.

We recommend retaining your previous Carrywell workbook until you have verified a successful upgrade.

Purchases and Refunds

Carrywell Life is a digital product.

Purchase pricing, promotions, payment terms, and any applicable refund policy are those presented at the time of purchase and through the store from which Carrywell was purchased.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Carrywell in a way that:

  • Violates applicable law
  • Attempts to gain unauthorized access to another person's Google account or data
  • Interferes with Carrywell's systems or services
  • Attempts to bypass authorization or security features
  • Uses Carrywell to distribute malware or harmful code
  • Infringes the intellectual property rights of Carrywell or another party

Disclaimer of Warranties

Carrywell is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law.

We work to make Carrywell reliable and useful, but we do not guarantee that:

  • Carrywell will operate without interruption
  • Every feature will always remain available
  • Carrywell will be compatible with every device, browser, Google account configuration, or future Google update
  • Every error or defect can be prevented
  • User-entered information can never be lost due to circumstances outside our control

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Carrywell and its owner or operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from the use of or inability to use Carrywell.

This includes, where permitted by law, losses caused by missed appointments, lost data, Google service interruptions, account issues, or reliance on planner information.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Termination

You may stop using Carrywell at any time.

You may also revoke Carrywell's Google permissions or delete your Carrywell files and Carrywell-created Calendar.

We may restrict access to Carrywell services or updates if Carrywell is used in violation of these Terms, applicable law, or our intellectual property rights.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as Carrywell evolves.

The current version will be made available on the Carrywell Life website and will include the date it was last updated.

Continued use of Carrywell after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms where permitted by law.
