Carrywell Life Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 29, 2026
Carrywell Life (“Carrywell,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a Google Sheets-based planning system designed to help users manage tasks, projects, appointments, meal planning, and other personal planning information.
This Privacy Policy explains how Carrywell Life accesses, uses, stores, and shares information when you use Carrywell features that connect with Google services.
Information You Enter Into Carrywell
Carrywell allows you to enter information into your own Google Sheets workbook, including information such as:
- Tasks and projects
- Events and appointments
- Meal plans
- Notes and Brain Dump entries
- Household or family labels
- Completion history
- Other information you choose to enter into your Carrywell workbook
This information is stored in your Google Sheets file within your Google account.
Carrywell does not require you to provide this planner information to a separate Carrywell database.
Google Account Permissions
Certain Carrywell features require permission to access specific Google services.
Carrywell requests only the Google permissions needed to provide its features.
Current Carrywell Spreadsheet
Carrywell can access and modify the Carrywell spreadsheet you are currently using so that its planner, automation, sorting, synchronization, and other workbook features can function.
Upgrade From Previous Version
If you choose Upgrade from Previous Version, Carrywell may ask for permission to read another Google Sheets spreadsheet that you select.
This permission is used only to read information from your previous Carrywell workbook and transfer supported user-entered information into your newer Carrywell workbook.
Carrywell does not use this feature to edit or delete the previous workbook.
Carrywell Calendar
If you choose to connect Carrywell to Google Calendar, Carrywell creates and manages a separate calendar for Carrywell events.
Carrywell's Calendar permission is limited to calendars created by the application. Carrywell does not request unrestricted access to all calendars in your Google account.
Information entered into the Events & Appointments section may be used to create, update, or remove corresponding events on the Carrywell-created Google Calendar.
Connecting Calendar is optional.
Automation and Triggers
Carrywell may use Google Apps Script triggers to perform features such as Calendar synchronization and other Carrywell automation.
These triggers operate within Google's Apps Script environment.
How Google User Data Is Used
Google user data accessed by Carrywell is used only to provide Carrywell's user-facing features, including:
- Operating the Carrywell planner
- Reading information from a previous Carrywell workbook when you specifically request an upgrade
- Creating and synchronizing Carrywell Calendar events
- Maintaining Carrywell automation
- Preserving supported Carrywell data when moving to a newer version
- Troubleshooting and maintaining Carrywell functionality

How Information Is Stored
Most Carrywell information remains inside Google services associated with your own Google account, including your Carrywell Google Sheets workbook and, if enabled, your Carrywell-created Google Calendar.
Carrywell may store limited system information needed for its features, such as:
- Carrywell version information
- Upgrade information
- Calendar connection status
- Calendar event identifiers
- Automation or trigger identifiers
- Other technical configuration information required for Carrywell to operate
Carrywell processes information through Google Apps Script and Google Cloud services when performing requested functions.
Carrywell does not intentionally copy your planner contents into a separate developer-controlled database.
Google may process or retain technical execution and diagnostic information as part of operating Google Apps Script, Google Cloud, Google Sheets, and Google Calendar in accordance with Google's own terms and privacy practices.
Sharing and Transfer of Google User Data
Carrywell does not sell or rent Google user data.

Carrywell's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your Control Over Your Information
Your Carrywell planner data remains within files and services associated with your Google account.
You may:
- Edit or delete information from your Carrywell workbook
- Disconnect Carrywell Calendar
- Delete your Carrywell-created Calendar through Google Calendar
- Delete your Carrywell workbook
- Revoke Carrywell's Google Account permissions through your Google Account security settings
Revoking Google permissions may prevent features that depend on those permissions from working.
Data Retention
User-entered Carrywell planner information remains in your Google account until you modify or delete it.
Carrywell does not maintain a separate permanent database containing your planner information.
Certain technical records may be retained by Google as part of the operation, security, logging, or administration of Google services.
Security
Carrywell is designed to use Google's authorization system and to request only the permissions necessary for its features.
No system can guarantee absolute security. Users should also follow appropriate Google Account security practices, including protecting their Google account credentials.
Carrywell does not receive or store your Google account password.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Carrywell's features, Google integrations, or data practices change.
If our use of Google user data changes, this Privacy Policy will be updated to accurately describe those practices.
The current version of this Privacy Policy will remain publicly available on the Carrywell Life website.
